Vision and intention
Mariline Gomes da Silva Cristóvão and Ricardo Alexandre Oliveira Cristóvão share a vision of human dignity, scientific rigour and active support for Human Rights.
Human Dignity as a Neurobiological Prerequisite
The effective exercise of citizenship, political participation and respect for Human Rights are more than mere legal abstractions — they depend on basic biopsychosocial conditions of dignity. Chronic stress arising from housing and financial scarcity alters brain function, limits prosocial decision-making and amplifies reactive behaviour. Our Foundation was established to demonstrate, with scientific rigour, that by guaranteeing housing and economic stability, we disarm the biological mechanisms of exclusion. We free the social brain for empathy, literacy and community building.

A fairer and more humane world
The true meaning of success lies not in what we accumulate, but in the positive impact we can have on the lives of others.
Driven by this conviction, I decided to devote part of my time and resources to actively supporting the defence of Human Rights. This philanthropic initiative aims to support people, causes, communities and organisations that work every day for greater justice, protect the most vulnerable and promote equal opportunities. I invite everyone who shares this vision to join this reflection and action. Together, we have the power and the responsibility to build a fairer and more humane world.
— Ricardo Alexandre Oliveira Cristóvão, Founder of FPI and philanthropist.
