Foundation Pi · Legal information

Privacy policy

How this website uses information and stores preferences on your device.

Draft — legal identity and contact details are pending. This notice must be completed and reviewed before it is relied upon as final legal information.

Who is responsible

Foundation Pi’s supplied tax address is Rua Dr. João Sousa Machado nº 5, 3620-384 Moimenta da Beira. Contact: fundacao.porqueimporta@gmail.com.

The remaining legal identity and representation details are awaiting confirmation in the Impressum.

Visiting the website

When you visit, your browser sends technical information needed to deliver the pages, such as your IP address, browser information, requested address and request time. The hosting service may process this information for website delivery, security and fault diagnosis. The hosting provider, any service providers, retention periods and applicable legal basis must be confirmed before this notice is finalised.

Cookies and device storage

The current website code does not enable optional analytics or advertising cookies. It uses local storage, which stays in your browser rather than being sent automatically with each request, for these preferences:

  • fpi-lang: your selected language.
  • spiralTheme: your appearance preference.
  • spiralPalette: the selected colour palette, where used.
  • fpi-cookie-preference: acknowledgement of the necessary-only storage notice.

These values remain until you clear the website’s browser storage or replace a preference. No optional tracking is activated by acknowledging the banner. The legal classification and basis for each preference must be confirmed as part of the final review.

You can also delete or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings. This may stop preferences from being remembered.

Fonts and the Portugal map

The website loads fonts from Google Fonts. The Portugal map uses resources from unpkg, jsDelivr and Esri ArcGIS. When these resources load, your browser connects to those providers and sends technical information, including your IP address. A necessary-only choice does not block these resource requests.

The providers’ processing terms, legal bases, retention periods and any transfers outside the European Economic Area must be assessed and added before this policy is final. Any non-essential services requiring consent must be blocked until that consent is given.

Registration and other websites

The registration link opens app.foundationpi.com. Account registration and information submitted there are handled separately from this public website. Please consult the privacy notice shown by that service before submitting personal information. Other external links lead to websites with their own privacy notices.

Your privacy rights

Where the GDPR applies, you may have the right to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict processing, object to processing and receive portable copies of certain data. These rights depend on the circumstances and legal basis. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

You may complain to the competent data protection authority, including the authority where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred. The responsible authority and a contact for exercising your rights will be added once the organisation’s legal details are confirmed.

Completing this notice

This is a draft based on the website’s current visible functions. The organisation must confirm its legal details, hosting arrangements, all personal-data processing, legal bases, recipients, retention periods and transfer safeguards. This notice does not yet cover any future forms, donations, surveys or member services.
